Yeah, one of the Kitty Connection rescues had a litter of 10!, from getting pregnant while already pregnant. Poor girl barely made it, emergency hysterectomy and long hospital stay after. (Last I heard, she’s ok, but still resting up after everything)

I think Mama cat and babies, well hardly babies now, are have decided that I am not completely evil and am the source of food and water.
One of the kits almost came up to me. Today the mama wanted to go to the food bowls while I was standing a little away. She couldn’t quite do it. But she does not hiss or growl at me any more.
Baby steps or should I say kitten steps

The evil hooman, aka me, got clever and opened a can of fancy feast for the porch family. Then I sat a few feet away.
Here’s the Mom and kittens. I’m calling her Silvie.

They won’t come close. Silvie has watched me and actually kneaded on the floor. They are drinking lots of water in this Texas heat.

@CarlosLuis I think you may have misinterpretted, that look is actually saying, “More please, sir!” or possibly “I think we can take him!” Either way, they look more like teenagers, kittens can be held in one hand, each of them likes like at least two handfuls, if not more! You may have fallen for the reverse adoption routine: You’ve fed us more than three times, your now responsible for doing so regularly!

I was tricked a long time ago. There was a comic strip of a single woman who had 2 Siamese cats that would send messages to her while sleeping.
I think my first cat put a post hypnotic suggestion in me to take care of any cats I see.
