BOXES! The best toy yet for cats! The smaller, the better…up to a point!
Our best toy for our cats, when they were kittens: a cement form tube (used for deck posts/etc. made of cardboard with some medium sized holes (whole saw on a drill, but razor cuts work too) for our two kittens to stick their noses/arms through! It rolled around, served as bed/hiding spot…what fun! Now, if they only made them adult size!
For reals! I need an adult sized tunnel like that some days!
Ms Sophie didn’t get her food this morning because I left in the dark for my Saturday group ride. When I brought it out with fresh water she was talking. Yesterday and today she will sniff my fingers and back off. Today she gave me a whack, no blood.
I need to get her and the nearly grown kits to the vet.
Not a cat picture per se, but a funny/happy accident. I went to meet a friend for dinner…I had bought him this shirt, so its not as outlandish as all that, but, boy, did we get some looks!

Sophie is really getting more used to me. Yesterday I went down the side yard to feed Rocky the dog. There she was doing that herding thing, leading me a few steps and then turning around to make sure I’m following.
Preparing their dish of fancy feast she’s rubbing my ankles. One of the little ones is still quite shy, but the other one is happy to see me.
