The daily life of cats

Not sure you mean the same thing, but while I love the cats, I’m forever having to “roll” myself to remove cat fur. It doesn’t matter what they get fed, how many times we brush them, how often we may vacuum, etc., the house, the wife and I have this “glow of orange” about us!

Meko in their “condo”, deciding whether to sleep or play…

They tore into the boxspring in “their” (guest) bedroom, so we made it cozy and safer.

I can’t resist a tummy like this

More sadness in the house. Last night the front door wasn’t latched and, I guess Manny pried it open. I went out and Sheelah and Manny ran in. Biddy has never wanted to go out ever since she got married in the house, so I wasn’t aware she was outside.

No sign of her. I checked the old barn where she was born and just all around, calling her.

Manny, Sheelah and I are missing our little friend.

Poor kitty :sob: Hopefully she’s just scared and hiding nearby.

I’ve heard putting her litter box outside of your door could help, because they recognize the strong smell. Plus food and water if it won’t attract too many other types of animals. If your town has a Facebook group for lost pets, share her photo and your contact info on the page. Contact your local animal shelter too, in case she gets picked up.

I hope that she will come home very very very soon! :green_heart:

Thanks @RachelMaraii and @Mariethm I don’t live in a town. I had food and water on the porch but it was untouched. There a big bowl of water along with some cat food in the yard tonight. I don’t want to encourage the cute, clever masked bandits (raccoons) on the porch

Any sign of Biddy this morning?

No, even the raccoons didn’t come last night. That’s weird.

I had hoped for a better update :sad_but_relieved_face: I hope that she will show up on your porch before you know it, with a story to tell you! :green_heart:

I’m not giving up hope, but Biddy is a feral kitty who wanted to live in the house. While she liked everyone, she loved my wife. I think that maybe she just decided to go back to her earlier life.

The house is even more empty with her absence.

I’m so sorry for all the loss in your household, CarlosLuis :green_heart:

Hopefully when she has stopped grieving so much, she’ll remember your love and warmth and return.

A hope full update, I left the bowl of food and a pot of water out all night. When I went out at 6;30 half the food and half the water gone. I doubt this was raccoons as they would’ve ate all the food, dirtied up the water and scattered them. Biddy is a neat eater and drinker.

So, this WAS where I kept the nice kitchen towels. A few days ago, we searched everywhere for Milo…

Now he has a new bed, of course! Spoiled spider monkey.
