The daily life of cats

Very true! A good photographer and a good subject, a match made in heaven. Great job!

Love all of the pics of the furbabies……bubba is in the living room so no pics of him tonight….he loves being photographed on his own terms tho but loves it ….

Lmao yeah she does

God I wish, I just have a Google pixel phone (3a for the early ones, 5a 5g) and they make good pictures happen when you don’t know what you’re doing. Plenty of blurry goofy outtakes.

Maisey playing with her favorite toy ever, the cat dancer. I think they put cat crack in these or something.

Mysterious cat behavior, several of our cats like to drown their toys in the water bowl. It’s only the rat and mice toys, not any others. Is this just our kitties or is this a universal thing?

My friend’s cats also do this! :smile_cat:

Anybody have problems with CGM or pumps losing connection because of a cat. My big guy, Manny, thinks I am the most comfortable cat furniture in the universe. If I kick back my recliner, he appears like magic. Anyway if he covers my pump or Dexcom, well you know. He doesn’t understand why I will shift him off.

Totally! Leo does the same thing, as did the late Zane Grey. :smile_cat:

I have done cat rescue, trap and release, and have been a foster home for about 2 decades now in three different states.
I have had many pregnant cats that were feral, or at least been on their own for too long, suddenly become friendly once the birthing starts.
I have assisted a couple difficult births, one was a VERY feral cat, and she just watched me help out, and even cleaned my hands some between kittens.
Most of the time I watch the birthing to make sure it goes well, and let them do their thing. But it always amazes me that I can almost watch the cat do a 180 degree change on how they behave around people. That very critical point where they are the most vulnerable, and they see that you are not there to harm, but to help, seems to make a huge impact on them.

YES! My two cats love to sit on my lap at night and every time I wear my G6 on my thigh it loses the connection! Who knew a cats body was so RF absorbing?! It doesn’t matter how close the receiver/phone is, that signal is history. Sorry, kitties, it’s you guys or the angry alarm…. Haven’t noticed an impact on the pump, but haven’t been using my thigh for that until just recently.

If, big Manny-O lays on top of the pump, it will lose connection. And he seems to like laying on it no matter which side of me it is located. But he is such a hug a bug, can’t get upset with him.

@Sensorium139 We have two orange tabby cats, rescued brothers from the same litter: Gilbert and Sullivan (we couldn’t resist). Totally different personalities, one of which (the larger) has to try/get in every kitchen cabinet, has learned to unlock our family room cabinet doors (old style refrigerator style handle lock mechanisms), and even opens drawers and tries to fit inside them, and of course both love getting in the pantry, one to chew on the orange plastic onion bags and one just to hide in there…until he’s had enough, of course!
