Long time no update: I have two cats now.
Maisey is my sweet Lil baby girl, going to be 10 months old on the 4th of January. She’s a stinker sometimes, aka why we don’t have a Christmas tree this year, the kitten curiosity would be…a problem. I’ve had her since she was 2 months old, and she’s absolutely my little baby. Cries when I leave, always cuddles me. I love her. Also loves to talk, she’s not a quiet kiddo , always has something to say.
Then in September, a month after putting my beloved boy dog to sleep ( he was 14 and doing bad, I miss him, but had to make that choice) we rescued a little stray adult cat from my fiance’s work, after weeks of no owner popping up, she’s been ours. She’s more prone to being spicy and mean, but she’s been through stuff. She also can be super sweet and has become my grandma’s best friend , this is Pumpkin. She doesn’t really meow, she sounds like she’s from animal crossing. She has an adorable sing and dance routine for meals.
I still have my girl dog, who both kitties hate and it feels like a zoo if they even see her, thankfully the kitties mostly get to be in a big room away from her.
@Sensorium139 ‘s post inspired me to post new pics of our 3 kitties in the house.
This is Manny, He is much more beautiful but his silver/blue color seems to suck up the light, but those eyes!
This is Sheelah T. Magee. The T is for trouble. She has maybe 100 words and has been teaching me to understand them, very vocal. This pic doesn’t do her justice.
And here is Biddy, formerly know as Maxine. She didn’t respond to Maxine but comes to Biddy. She is a super sweetie who was born to a feral mother. She was never wild, except when playing with Sheelah.
3 rescue kitties, 2 from the shelter and one born in our old barn. They more than fill the spot left by our Frankie who succumbed to feline leukemia. Here he is in a box, who ever heard of a cat in a cardboard box?
Ahh, yes, boxes….the cheapest and ever loved cat toy! Cutting small holes for paws to play back and forth is the best. When our cats were kittens, I gave up on PetCo/PetSmart toys and bought a Home Depot 4’ cement tube, cut several holes for access and it was an instant $6 hit! It rolled seemingly on it’s own across the room…very enticing!
Love your kitties . They’re all so cute. Then again, I think I love all kitties now.
Also I saw you say your one kitty was feral. Maisey WAS FERAL as an itty bitty kitten apparently, but now she’s a love bug. Her mom was a really pretty feral barn cat:
Wow @Sensorium139 and @TomH, the light you two captured in Maisey and Manny’s eyes make for really awesome pictures. Great looking cats!
[Maisey is an easy subject to photograph, because she’s so photogenic. She knows she is a star.
Maisy is beautiful!! And you are a talented photographer!!!
