1st real bicycle ride since my wife’s stroke and death

I appreciate the virtual hug, @Sally

These are a selection of some of the flowers we’ve got blooming in our garden here in West Yorkshire. We’ve had a lot of weather over the past 24 hours with bright sunshine, wild winds, lashing rain and huge hailstones on repeat. Happy easter everyone

Still no bluebonnets but blue eyed grass will have to do.

I finally got smart and thanks to the Straits of Hormuz I have some discretionary cash, oil royalties, to buy a pedal assist ebike.

I did a short shakedown ride yesterday and a real ride this morning. What a workout! But I thought the bike does most of the work.

Wrong it just makes you go faster. Here’s a picture in All its matte black glory. Gotta pay $$$s for color.

@CharlotteEngland I spent from age 1-5 on a air force base in Germany. There were fields of daffodils all over. Nothing is so beautiful than a huge field of daffodils!!! I still love daffodils the best!

Nice! Good to feel the wind in your hair (or whizzing past your helmet)

So cool, CL! I’ve never seen an e-bike look so sleek and those handlebars are fantastic. Excited for you!

Except for the bigger downtube for the battery it’s very similar to the non ebike model. The motor is very quiet, at least my old ears can’t hear it.
