@ianrobertdouglas. I was just reviewing the tidepoll thread on github and discovered that the Tidepool upoader may not work with Android 4.4 or less. Perhaps that is your problem.

Thank you. My phone is getting replaced in two weeks anyway, and it cannot be upgraded beyond 4.4. I figured out, nonetheless, a route to get the data to Tidepool: via Apple Health on the iPhone my son now carries.
