But the math is the fun part
Thanks for the compliment @daisymae (I think)
Agree! Put my good for nothing math major to use…
wow, a math major! I hated math (and i still do)
i think that this is on PBS, not Netflix (but i could be wrong) we will check this out tonight and i’ll keep you all posted.
thx for the heads up. always on the look out for something new.
Ok daisymae, I’m finishing Wanted (2 episodes left don’t ruin any surprises)
What’s next ?
i heard about this show called “Mind Hunter” and gonna check it out this evening. i’ll let you know. coming from a reliable source.
I’ve started that one a couple times but got distracted…
was that b/c it didnt hold your attention?
Probably, but that’s not the shows fault… it might be really good, maybe I should start it again
We like Mind Hunter Lie to Me. It’s about a guy and his female partner, both highly intellectual, whose specialty is to interpret non-verbal communications in people, and who help the police. It is derived from reality, except that I think they added the female partner.
[EDIT] What an idiot I am: it’s not Mind Hunter, it’s Lie to Me I was thinking of…
thx michel. this sounds intriguing. we’re just finishing up “Wanted” and when we’re done will try it out. always on the hunt for more more more.
@daisymae, I was an idiot… It is not Mind Hunter, but Lie to Me I was thinking of…
I’ve seen both of these shows: Mind Hunter and Lie to Me. They’re both really good!
Mind Hunter is about catching psychopaths and serial killers by understanding the way their minds work. It’s a little disturbing at times, but pretty fascinating. Highly recommend.
Lie to Me is just as Michel described. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen it, but I remember wishing there were more seasons!
thx michel. we will deff check that out. i think we only have 1 or 2 more episodes left of WANTED. rushed right through that one. loved it. every time you think they are out of the woods, those 2 crazy women end up in another bind. its one surprise after another, and it never goes where you are expecting it to go.
great show we’ve just started watching. its Danish and its called RITA on Netflix. its about a ballsy woman middle school teacher, her crazy family, how she deals with her students and co-workers-and her supervisor and her ex-husband.
it is delightful. very clever. makes us giggle. but although so much of it is comedic, it can also fall into the drama venue.
i encourage everyone to check it out.
my husband and i have been binging on this for the past 2 nights. we’re almost done with the first season. thanks for the recommendation; we love it. (and he’s a nut for historical period pieces and i just love the costumes)
did you watch The Crown on both PBS as well as Amazon Prime ?
I’ll check RITA out! Sounds good. Thanks for the recommendation
i hope that you enjoy it. its quirky and lots of fun.
DM
its February 4th (AKA Superbowl Sunday) and we just finished “Victoria.”
thank you endlessly for your suggestion and review. we LOVED it!!! the first few episodes didnt hook us, but we kept with it, and then our entire evenings were spent excited looking fwd to the next episodes. now that its finished (no 3rd season yet) , we need to find something else to watch. we’re so upset that its over. cant wait for the next season.
i encourage everyone to see this show. have you seen “The Crown?” also great. but i must admit, as i did to my husband, that i developed a little-girl-blushing- crush on Tom Hughs, who played Prince Albert.
