I predict that soon he will leap out from hiding places , BOO!
What a sweet face.
@CarlosLuis I love the Lt Dan name! How fitting! I can see the ginger in this one, but it seems a bit muted; our Gilbert and Sullivan are relatively bright orange, though one of their litter mates was buff! While we wouldnât give them up (though Sullivanâs purring is extra loud and heâs taken to meowing for no reason we can determine), weâve often commented we should have gone with the buff so we could tell them apart. Instead we used a black magic marker to tip oneâs tail because they looked so alike as kittens streaking by!
You know with the Artimis luna flyby they took lots of photos, but the crew did written reports of their observations including color.
This boy is bright orange. It may be because I accidently videoed him and did as screen capture to get this pose.
Hereâs one of the stills.
Thatâs more the color Gilbert and Sullivan sport! In the UK (we lived there for three years, my tour with the 501st GLCM Wing), theyâre called âmarmaladeâ cats!
Years ago we had a ginger tom come visiting that we called Marmalade. We had a big black tom named Sasha. They didnât like. One another, duh! We also had a herd of Nubian dairy goats and their dog, Detta, a Great Pyrenees.
Marmalade and Sasha got into a real fight. Detta wasnât having it. She put her muzzle into this ball of teeth and claws. It was amazing, the 2 boys immediately separated. Detta calmly escorted Marmalade to the boundary fence. She mustâve communicated to him that he was welcome to visit but must behave. And he did.
Detta short for Bernadette.
I had a black cat also was euthanized last June. At 19 years old she was look a little different than yours not all black cats look alike. Iâm not sure I can attach a picture. I talk to her every day and say ANNIE what do you think ANNIE we opened a can of tuna she used a meow look up we think of her she love Water. She loved playing in the bath. Iâm not in the bathtub when I was in the bathtub, she licked the water off my face.
Halo helping @Liam-M with his homework.
The cat ate my homework, really
Meko is so tense!
He has the weight of the world on his shoulders. ![]()
Iâm sure that if all havenât seen this, they have been through the experience. Quite a bit is true for dogs and goats as well
I think making bone broth âafter nap snacksâ may be bridge to far, though we make Gilbert and Sullivanâs food about every month. We use a recipe based on Dr Piersonâs formula (https://catinfo.org) using a grinder, chicken thighs, hearts, and livers, eggs, and a few additives. It started out as semi-raw, but thanks to Bird Flu has become âalmostâ cooked! Its an act of love, though Sullivanâs meows are testing the limit lately!
@CarlosLuis Loved the bit on how to give a cat a pill. Havenât laughed like that by myself in quite some time. Sent it to my wife, daughter, and son-in-law!
I know, but it started during one of Miloâs dehydration bouts, and they really look forward to it! I make it once I have enough carcasses from roast chicken dinners, so its not like Iâm really going out of my way. (Howâs that for justifying my servitude to the fuzzy overlords?)
They train us so easily⌠![]()
