Bubba’s got the blinds arranged just like he wants them. Are you in New England? My wife’s family is all in western Connecticut.

I am….I’m in Massachusetts and yup bubba has them the way he wants them and I still need to replace them

My Leo is a spotted tabby. After Zane Grey passed away he moved in on “mom’s lap” and claimed it for his own. Leo is bossy and grumpy and Miss Sophie avoids him most of the time. She’s not too keen on Mighty Mouse, either. Funny how these three don’t get along at all while Harley, Amador, and Zane were quite content to hang out together and cuddle up with me whenever possible. :smiley_cat:

Thank you for that post. I have been gaining the trusts of a couple of half grown kittens now, for months. One just always wanted to be friends. We named her Maxine and she was scheduled today to be vaccinated and spayed. The last I saw her was Thursday evening. She was always waiting for me, not for food but pets.

Part of me thinks they may have been taken by coyotes. The non-charitable part of me thinks my cat hating neighbor had something to do with their disappearance.

Here’s a picture of Maxine and her sibling I call Pretty Kitty Jr. Maxine is the grey tabby.

They are lovely! I sure hope they return safely to your home!

I too hope they return safely. In our city the coyotes are running wild, we often see packs of 4-6 coyotes near dusk. Outdoor cats in our neighborhood don’t last too long. :frowning:

@Chris What region are you in that coyotes are cruising in packs and clearing out the pets? I lived at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, as a kid living on the edge of the housing area. Coyote packs could be seen nightly by lights reflecting off their eyes while they looked to lure pets out for food! Also had many adventures with large hairy tarantulas, bats, rattle snakes, scorpions, Black Widows, etc. What a great place to be a kid!

I don’t know about Chris, but I am in rural south central Texas, and we hear them but seldom see them. I think they are afraid of our Great Pyrenees livestock guard dogs. I am leaning to the neighbor because of the 2 or 3 pistol shots we heard the day my babies disappeared. I would show pictures and ask if they had seen them, but I am afraid I would lose my cool.

I should’ve brought them inside a few days earlier.

I am in the Portland Oregon area. We live on a greenbelt and see quite an abundance of wildlife considering we are living in the suburbs. Coyotes, Deer, Raccoons, etc. Once we were lucky enough to spot a cougar in our neighborhood, they transition from the Cascades to the Coast Range somewhat regularly.

So the “daily life of cats” has a slightly “bigger” meaning for you. Haven’t seen a cougar in the wild before, but we have a small cabin over in West Va, near Berkeley Springs. I’d just sat down beside a window for morning coffee and noticed a Black Bear on the other side of the window, stunned, all I could say was “Bear!”. Wife naturally said “Where!”, my response “RIGHT THERE!” He served as good reminder to take bird feeders inside at night as he’d tear them down. We found him (or a friend) on the front porch laying spread eagle lapping up bird seed from one he destroyed. I tapped the glass in the front door…he was gone in a shot! We get deer, raccoons, bears, and turkey flocks regularly, but no big cats.
