I have added an addendum to my research paper.

@T1Allison, your syringes have been ordered.

An observation this morning…

On Amazon, anyone can buy these:

But without a license, you CAN’T buy these:

That is just a small set of the can vs can’t buy restrictions on Amazon.

The best I can tell, for syringes, anything with a needle 8mm of longer is available, but less than 8mm requires a license. :man_shrugging:

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Amazon!

Makes no sense to me. People using short needles are hoarding and re-selling and injecting illegal drugs, but people using the longer needles are upstanding citizens and can be trusted to buy only what they need?

Seriously Amazon, you are being stupid. Restricting things is what makes people over-buy stuff and hoard stuff and resell stuff!!!

Whatever. Screw them. Your 6mm 1/2 unit-marked syringes have been ordered Alli.

This is the kind of animal research study I love!!!

was your study powered to produce statistically significant results though? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Indeed I think based on the sample size he will need to run a 30 variable Anova to get statistically significant results. Fortunately I don’t think there is a shortage of french fry’s.

@T1Allison If donuts were bad for the immune system, I would have likely died years ago.

I think that actually only applies to Krispy Kremes…lol

So…if you lived near an immaculate house that’s been vacant for 10 years, doesn’t have locks installed, the owners adamantly insist that they don’t have to install locks even when the HOA insists on it, there have been squatters, and multiple visits from Sheriff’s Deputies, and a transient Bentley and Corvette were stored at the house for two weeks until two guys in a Mercedes G-Wagon rolled into town from Florida to relocate the two cars to another location not far away…

…and then you saw a white unmarked box truck unload about 50 unmarked boxes into the garage that were all the same size and weight (heavy)…

…and then you saw a different ā€œwork crewā€ in street clothes make multiple trips to and from that garage in a single day, all day long, two weeks later…

Would you suspect that the boxes contained:
A. Fraudulent mail-in ballots (friend’s idea)
B. Excess copies of a self-published memoir that never sold and the blogger is too embarrassed to keep them in his/her own garage
C. Tile samples…lots and lots of tile samples…and they just can’t make up their mind which tile they want to go with

The only one that makes any sense to me is B.

I was thinking lots of hand sanitizer, but B makes much more sense. Boxes of shame…

D. A scene from Breaking Bad…

Theft ring

That’s hilarious!

I’m also hoping it’s something totally off the wall like some underground exotic cactus smuggling ring. That would be so much cooler than drugs. And I don’t know what sort of drug would weigh as much as those boxes weigh.

You always have these amazing neighborhood stories :joy: Is your neighborhood particularly crazy or is it that I just don’t notice the peculiarities of my own neighborhood?

We really thought we were moving AWAY from the crazy when we got out of our last neighborhood! It’s evidently EVERYWHERE! :woman_facepalming:
