There’s always the local Walmart also, $13\ box 100
8mm?! You monster!
I’m a 5-6mm kinda gal.
That’s so weird that it’s not different for you!
200 please if you can find them!
It looks like it depends on what you order!
The syringes I usually get from Amazon are available, but the insulin 'betes syringes are not available without the business account!
No worries. I have applied for a business account. I am using the EIN from my “animal research corporation”, which I used in the past to get medical equipment.
So if all of that works, I can get the stuff sent to you. Hopefully within a day or two.
If you wanted 8mm, I have a stock of them and could send you 1,000 right now!
But the 6mm syringes might be a day or so. We will see.
@Eric, I love that none of what you said above even struck me as unusual. We’ve acclimated quite well in our friendship!
Thank you!!!
@T1Allison, @Eric if all else fails I would be more than willing to order these if wanted.
So after a ridiculous discussion with AZN CS regarding the purchase of insulin syringes, their policy stands because we as individual diabetics are de-prioritized over the “gouge the consumer” healthcare industry. I think this bugs me and might actually encourage me to close my Azn acct because it’s a non-logical argument since we have every bit the same need as the healthcare industry but with far fewer resources. Additionally, I asked if the presumption at Azn was that we were drug addicts looking for needles to which they stated “we could be”. My response was that if I was an addict, I wouldn’t be ordering online with a CC, I would be getting needles for free at a local shelter. I guess in a sense we are addicts, just legal addicts which doesn’t actually excuse this policy of needing a business acct and healthcare license to order insulin syringes.
Suddenly Amazon is no longer a purveyor I want to support. rant over
Wait, @T1Allison, do you want syringes or needles?!?!
@elver is showing needles.
I can get either, just let me know!
But the addicts do favor the 1/2 unit syringes for more accurate dosing.
I have an entire grocery sack of pen needles (in original boxes) from a neighbor who passed this year. It’s a lifetime supply for me, so I definitely don’t mind sharing if wanted
Be careful with that with diabetic supplies… I believe veterinary insulin syringes are marked with a u40 scale instead of u100
U40 is definitly the most commonly available, but U100s are also available.
@T1Allison - I apologize in advance, but I need to retract my previous offer. I just cancelled my Azn acct. Sorry. If however you want pen needles I have many. More than I will use in my lifetime, and I am happy to share.
Also, to point out, all of this is legitimate. I really am in the animal research business. It is totally legit.
A lot of research is done at my facility. I do not have to feel bad about manipulating any rules to get what I need, this is real stuff.
A recent study I conducted:
Hypothesis:
Dogs like leftover french fries.Methods:
Give dogs leftover french fries after dinner and see it they like them. Results:
The dogs ate the french fries. Conclusion:
Dogs do like leftover french fries.
See? Non-stop research at my facility! Making the world a better place!
There are pretty much no requirements to become an animal research facility, and you can get a lot of cool things that way.
@elver, thank you for the offer! I’m good on pen needles!
@Eric, I’m in search of syringes since someone once told me all you need is a syringe.
Walmart…
I have > 10 full boxes of the syringes and probably 50 or more boxes of the pen needles. If you need either of them I’m happy to send you a box or two of either or both!
@ClaudnDaye, thank you so much for the offer! If I get down to uncomfortably low levels I’ll buy them off of you. Thanks!!!
Won’t need to buy them! They are here if you need them. Just like everyone here, this is just one of the reasons we hoard.
I hope that your signed lab notebook page notes the tail wagging. I think the dog not only eats the leftover french fry, but also likes it, at least that is my supposition since I don’t have a very refined dog lexicon.
