this is so funny to me to hear about, bc this is exactly what we do. there is a neighbor of ours who likes to make fresh blueberry preserves and we allow him to pick away at those bushes so long as he brings us some of his delicious jams. its a wonderful, symbiotic relationship; everyone should b so lucky!!!
happy I brought back such a fond memory for u! YUM.
…and Starlink satellites are supposed to be visible tonight. I’ll see if they look like the military aliens I saw earlier this week. {Adding a layer of tinfoil to my Domestic Goddess Anti-Mind Control Crown}
This is the latest pic of what’s happening in Brooklyn right outside my house every day for the past (maybe) 8 days, and on into the evening before th 8pm curfew is enforced.
Our county of about 200,000 people now outpacing New York State in new cases of covid. Nobody here wearing masks. Idiots rambling on about how they don’t have to wear masks because they have rights… (public health directive went into effect today… nobody is complying)
I remember when I moved here some of my coworkers from WA state said be prepared to be surrounded by rednecks— the stupid kind… I laughed it off at the time. I no longer do.
@Sam having been in a similar situation, it’s downright scary to have to rely on co-workers and their personal sanitation rituals (if any). I no longer trust my coworkers to do the right 1thing.
You are a very fortunate person. I work with a broad range of people, but the Millennials scare me the most. They seem as a group to think they are impervious to C-19 and take chances that put the rest of us at risk. They are also the only employees that have tested positive and act agrieved when the workplace sanitation\ mask\crowd rules are enforced.
Ships seem like incredibly enclosed spaces where transmission would likely flourish. Glad you are not in that situation; I hope all those people recover.
