As a cyclist with Type 2 who uses Novolog I have been following Team Novo Nordisk for years. While it was exciting that 7/11 and the Post Office sponsored professional racing having a major insulin producers sponsor a diabetic race team is much more so.

This fellow diabetic who is intellectually challenged did an amazing thing show pure grit and athletic ability while maintaining time in range of 70-75%.

Like us Tom didn’t do it alone as he has a team

This just goes to show that determination, careful monitoring, and team effort means that anyone can do anything. T1D is not a “handicap” nor is it an excuse to avoid doing what one wants. Good job, Tom and his team!
