This will make things a little easier once this feature is released. Very cool.
Interesting alternative to 5/AAPS for smartphone control.
Availability only on two generation old phones is still strange, but an improvement over Omnipod.
Thanks @Chris, this is very cool and very excited!!
They had to do a lot of work in the marketing department:
This represents the first-ever FDA-cleared smartphone application capable of initiating insulin delivery on both iOS and Android operating systems.
I guess Insulet marketing have their work cut out, or maybe not, when they get iPhone clearance the following will be a true statement for the O5:
FDA-clearance has now been issued for first-ever FDA-cleared smartphone application capable of initiating insulin delivery on both iOS and Android operating systems.
Indeed my wife thought the Tandem press release was about the same thing I had been talking about when she saw it a few days ago.
Insulet marketing edit:
FDA-clearance has now been issued for first-ever FDA-cleared smartphone application capable of initiating insulin delivery on a tubeless pump on both iOS and Android operating systems.
But who ever listens to marketing jabber? It’s like the cure 5 years away. Blah, blah, blah.
