Share your experiences with new Omnipod 5 iPhone app

I wanted to start a thread for this, so we can hopefully have a somewhat centralized place for people to share their experiences with the O5 iPhone app.

Having it all in one place can be helpful if someone is looking for an answer or runs into any issues.

Please share what you see with it, both good and bad.

Thanks!

I started the app this AM, which seemed to go OK. So far, I am only using Manual and have had no problems. I like the layout of the Dashboard screen which is an improvement over the PDM.

App is working awesome. Love it. Though I still sometimes try to find my PDM when I need to bolus out of habit.

No issues on ios17 and SE 3rd gen.

I downloaded the phone app as soon as it was available, and I have been very pleased with it so far. I love not having to carry the PDM and functionally, I feel like it works as well and even better at times. I swear I lose signal less than before! I have iOS 17. I’m getting ready to have my g6 transmitter and receiver Rx refills and wanted to see if anyone has had experience with the app and the g7s with the Omnipod 5? Is it integrated as well? Pluses or minuses? I don’t want to get a new Rx and then discover I should have waited.

No G7 compatibility with the iPhone app yet.

It is compatible with IOS 18 and iPhone 16. I’ve been running it with IOS 18 and have had no issues.

I found this page on Insulets website

There is one feature on the app that does not make sense: the Activity setting can only be set in 1 hour increments. A minor inconvenience but still, would have been easy enough to use 1/2 hr increments like the temp basal and extended bolus.
