Anyone having a problem getting G7 sensors?

Good to know. I’ll need to talk to my endro next month, then about switching to a G7. Thanks for the information.

For those on Medicare in the US that’s also important because it means you don’t have to have a Dexcom receiver. The same applies, I believe, to the Insulet Omnipod System 5 (aka the O5).

All these devices “take over” the receiver “slot” on the G7 and this means the Dexcom receiver no longer works. However a pump could use the “app” slot, in which case the receiver would still work but the smartphone apps would not, or it could use the new third slot on the G7, sometimes called the “watch” slot but since it hides in the shadows and is only talked about in hushed whispers with sideways glances I always think of it is the “third slot.”

With the G7 in all the cases above (so far all the known cases) the smartphone apps work so any smartphone app should work, for example xDrip+ or the Dexcom app hacks which transmit the data locally.
