…and that, @CarlosLuis, is what the corporations depend on…I didn’t even mention the downsizing of products! Geesh!! Same great product, greater price, and less to show for it!
I’ve also been noticing that restaurants are also downsizing portion sizes and keeping the price unchanged.
That may be a benefit. My European friends complain about the huge servings in US restaurants. Their opinion that’s the cause of so many of us being super sized😅
Just had my labs down for an upcoming endo visit. I was expecting that my HbA1c would be around 7% because my time in range has been off and running both high and lower than pre-surgery.
Well it was higher by 0,7% rising from 5.6% to 6.3%, but nowhere near 7% - yeah!!!
This does illustrate the problem of HbA1c vs time in range. Probably the roller coastering has skewed the test results with the lows cancelling out the highs. Just as this graphic shows.
My self imposed TIR is 70-140mg/dl. I have been running as low as 45 and as high as 220, carbs increased from 90g to 160-180g and TDD from 28u to 49u.
This surgery often causes a 20 lb avg loss of weight. You wouldn’t like to seem me 20 lbs lighter. My weight has been pretty stable, so that’s good.
I am 3 months post surgery. I hope to be able to increase my outdoor riding. Because of exercise induced lows, I’ve been riding in the house, where I can deal with them easier.
As to continuing treatment, I am receiving immunotherapy every 2 weeks. So far without any issues. After 3 months of these infusions, they will do another ctDNA (Signatera) test for tumor DNA circulation in the bloodstream. If negative again the infusions will drop to once per month. Still will have them for a year. They are fast, yesterday I was in and out in 40 minutes.
Thanks for reading.
@CarlosLuis Good news!! I agree with your view of A1c and TIR, both useful for a purpose, but TIR (I throw in SD and COV). I use 70-140 during the day and 70-160 at night because my alerts are set using the same #s (and I hate being woken up at night!). Anyway, congrats on the number and hope they continue throughout the year and beyond!
Congrats CL! Great news!
