Watching the Tandem Little Steps

Just for an update when had a phone meeting with my educator Friday, he quickly asked if I knew about pre-bolusing, maybe there is some psychic effect of discussion here?

we talked some of changing the timing of my settings changes, to be continued in a follow up call next week.

Trying to to figure out how to pre-bolus as I usually don’t know my carbs until my plate is ready, and not easy to ask family to wait 20 minutes to eat. And I have much different food/activity schedules weekend vs weekday and those vary as well. My wife and I did extensive garden work, my levels were like 90-95% in range but still with lows ever afternoon.

And still compared to many years previous, my time in range is significantly better since starting the tandem t:slim.

I’m looking over the new math @CarlosLuis thanks!

Those of us managing our own blood glucose levels instead of like most people, we wake up in a new day every day. I posted about my new pedal assist ebike and how it was a hard workout. For some reason my BG from Dexcom did not show up on my Garmin bike computer like it’s suppose to.

For the last 3 miles back home I had a tailwind so I turned off the assist. As I passed my driveway for another mile to cool down, my pump alarmed.

When I got to the porch to sit down I was at 60mg/dl. YMMMM glucose tablets.

Right now I am sitting at 80 3 hours after lunch. I need to mow and while the mower is self propelled I walk behind it. No riding mover for me. Walking is good but not at 80. I guess I’ll eat a snack, not a snake, and go out later.

I want to be like you biking and mowing at 80 (speaking from 17 solar laps behind).

My weekend workout was my wife and figuring out building in our garden a total of 94 x 3 feet wide of raised garden boxes framed by reclaimed shipping pallets (lined with plastic). Now we have to still fill 2/3 with rotting old firewood and cut trees AND filing with the mountain of dirt delivered today.

Al in the name of future home grown veggies.

Ride on Carlos may all the winds be at your back

Pretty sure Carlos is referring to his BG not his age

Hah, sorry, that was late night reading and replying.

Since I’m on the mmol/L units for glucose, this morning I am 8.2 years old
