Trio 1.0, going by the name “Gummy Clusters,” was announced on Sep 15th. Trio is an AID app for iPhone. AID’s receive BG information from CGMs, put that together with known information regarding past and forecast BGs and insulin doses, put it through an algorithm, and use the results to tell insulin pumps what the next dose should be. Trio was built using the OREF algorithm as the basis with lots of modifications and optional settings. It is BG centric, has many settings not found in Loop. My understanding, Trio 1.0 has much if not most of the code updated to the Swift programming language. If you’re contemplating switching to Trio, please subscribe to the Trio Discord channel for information, or the Trio group on Facebook, and read the docs at https://triodocs.org. Trio can be built using either a browser build process using virtually any computer, pad, or phone (note it is built for iPhone); alternately, it can be built using Xcode on an Apple Mac computer.
