Running a marathon! :D

@daisymae @JessicaD @elver - Thank you!!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
How’s the running going DM??

HA! Good one!

But we will see :sweat_smile: I’ve taken this week to try to rest and recover - physically and mentally!! I only ran 3 mi this week and struggled through them. I would like to be able to get back to exercising for my sanity and also for my BGs. Just stopping running I’ve had crazy insulin resistance! I think my body is confused as to what’s going on…

Larissa, I am sooooo glad that u posted this!!! Since I haven’t been able to swim my insulin resistance is crazy. I have had to really increase my basal rates and change all of my ICR and ISFs. I thought it was just me :thinking:

enjoy your recovery!!! You certainly deserve it.

Not just you!! I’m running basal at 130% and being very aggressive with boluses, which is taking up a lot more insulin than I’d like it to!

Phew. I was running basal at 140% at the start of the pandemic. it must be that my body is acclimating, bc now I am only having to adjust to 120% sometimes (but I did have to raise my daytime basal profile.) most days now I am running 105%, but I swear, it can change on a dime without any patterns, no rhyme or reason. somedays it is even 95%, but that is usually after a few days of brisk walking. When I told my endo and my cde and my GP about this, they were all like “Duh!?!? You couldn’t figure this out on your own after all these years!!” HA! But I am disbelieving unless it comes from the mouth of another diabetic (especially when that diabetic is an athlete, like yourself).

thanks again Larissa!!! :joy:
