Big day today! Glorious weather, but maybe even a bit too warm suddenly. Real feel is 72! You may have finished already. Cheers to you and your coach who is running along with you, just not beside you! :running_woman::running_man:

Thank you everyone for the support!!

I completed my goal and RAN A mf MARATHON!!! I’m really proud of myself that I didn’t stop and I finished under 4hr30min!

I got my BG to stay between 67 and 150 the whole time :star_struck:

It was so humid when I started that I kept getting meter errors, but thanks to Eric for making and sending me so many strip holders that I had a bunch of strips to spare at the end. Testing manually is super important for me since Dexcom is really inaccurate when I’m exercising (it had me ending at 282 when I was 146 )

Here’s me crossing the makeshift finish line my family made me!

And with my metal that Eric personalized and sent me :bangbang:

I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for @Eric: all the workouts, the flexibility, the endless support, fun chats, life advice, crazy thought out running tips and tricks, and just being an incredible human and friend. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart  couldn’t have done it without ya

I am so proud of you! You were incredible!

The circumstances were not perfect, but you were perfect. You did everything exactly right. What you did was really an amazing performance, all throughout your training and the race! Everything you overcame to make it happen.

You are incredibly smart and hard-working. I was honored to have been a part of it.

I always thought I would never be able to experience another first marathon. But thanks to you, I got to enjoy another first.

This is hard to express, and people may not understand this completely, but there is something special that happens when people join together in these hard efforts. It is the most precious alloy that can ever be made. More valuable than gold or gems. In the furnace it is created. It is a metal that will not tarnish.

The most precious alloy that anyone can ever form is friendship.

And our friendship was…forged in the furnace.

Thank you for sharing your experience! And you, too, Eric, for showing us what friendship means, despite being geographically separated.
