It’s a Small World!

The FedEx guy delivered my new transmitter today (a day earlier than expected) and I was so excited I ran outside and thanked him for bringing my new glucose monitor stuff! He grinned and pulled up his shirt and proudly showed me his Dexcom! We shared a laugh and he told how much easier his life is now. He uses the Watch, too! I asked him if he was on a pump yet and told him about Pods. Hope I see him again so I can tell him about FUD! :smiley_cat::smiley_cat:

That is quite an unexpected and fun interaction!

That’s neat! I have had that happen a number of times too, where I see a pod or dex on someone and pull up a sleeve to show mine.

I’ve had this happen to me with a neighbor and neither of knew the other was T1D.

My neighbors son was diagnosed T1D several years ago. Started on pens and bg testing. I invited neighbor over and talked awhile, and let her do my dexcom G4 insertion. She called doctor next day. Been several years, son started college, and been using dexcom and omnipod since beginning once obtained.
