Very disappointed that so many have traveled over to here, but I have to accept it much as I liked to Diabetes and seems like it was easier to post.
Welcome to FUD!
Possibly your disappointment should be addressed at the previous sponsors at tuD.
As for posting, it is exactly the same software platform:-) The only difference is that here you are a new member, and, as a result, the software gives you fewer privileges.
After a few weeks you will have regained the same level of privileges you had. Looking forward to your posts!
Hello @andrea8 glad to see you made it over here!! I know it was disappointing to leave TuDiabetes. I was sad too, but I am glad to be here with this thriving community! There is a WHOLE community of people with diabetes here and we are glad to see you!! Here’s my experience: don’t put any links in your posts until you move from New User to Member. ![]()
Welcome @andrea8! We hope you engage, help and learn. We are each others support system and shoulders/ears when needed. We’ll be here for you and all other TuD’ers, if you care to join and engage.
Again, welcome!
Thank you for your welcome. But I don’t know why this change had to occur and I don’t know if it’s gonna be as easy to post and get a message back. I often got multiple messages back like five.
Our site, FUD, is not connected in any way to TuDiabetes. You are here because you decided to become a member in a new and different diabetes website that has nothing to do with TuD.
primarilybecause tudiabetes.org warned us that they were terminating their forum. You seem to be designed the same way. Do you have choices of type one or type two diabetes? For topics?
Welcome,Andrea, yes you can choose topic as this screenshot shows
Similar to TUD
If this is not what you meant, my sincerest apologies.
Is @Liam-M a teen yet? Could be turn around and your kids are adults before you know it ![]()
He will be 12 on the 30th of Dec. Diagnosed on Feb 29th, 2016 (leap year). Before he’s a teen (Mar 1, 2026), he’ll have 10 years under his belt as an unlimited diabetic. @Liam-M. ![]()
There are many offerings. There are TuD’s own; BeyondType1 and BeyondType2. There are the Reddit fora and there is, IRC, lots of stuff on FaceBook. More difficult to find are options on Discord, I don’t think those have been mentioned yet; you sign up and search then get links to the various servers.
Discord is perhaps closest to the old mailing list model that discourse.org implements (with additions).
TuD itself (forum.tudiabetes.org) still works, I still post there. Since the admins haven’t said anything it may continue for ever; no one knows!
Someone has to pay the bill. When that stops, the forum will go poof.
He’s the epitome of an unlimited with diabetes ![]()
