Is anyone part of a multitype Diabetes support group? I am a T1 but would like to start a Diabetes support group that is multi-type and meets 6-8 times per year. If you are: what sustains the group, what topics have you tackled, and how do you judge success?
Have you found any ways to keep the group going? Or any things that have collapsed a group?

Yes, I started a Meetup group (arranged via their website) and mostly recruited through that service. In contrast to yours, our group is for T1D adults. After some time, I migrated to FB because it is free, but mostly we operate using an email list.
We eat out, bowl, bike ride, and walk/birdwatch. It is important to choose activities that are easy for older people and people with complications to join.
After the pandemic our numbers dropped off quite a bit, but we have been slowly rebuilding. A success event is where everyone has fun, shares tips, and meets new people. I would say growing the group has been the biggest challenge. I always share that our group exists with my doctor, and he lets me put a little flyer up in the lobby for anyone who might be interested.
