Yes, they tried to have me switch to Dash, too, but I’m on Loop and definitely will not switch as Loop only supports the Eros pods. It took me 2 months to get my first order from Edgepark. Lots if emails and calls to them as I was worried they would not get the order approved.
I do save about $100 through them. I think I was paying around $425 every 3 months with Insulet and now it is $325. This is after the deductible is met, of course.
Glad (and surprised) to hear how happy everyone is with Byrum. To be fair, I almost always get my supplies when needed, but I had to learn the hard way to not trust ordering via the texts they send or to expect any response to my emails. It does seem to have gotten better in the year or so I’ve been using them. I get occasional refund checks (I’m on Medicare with a supplemental,) and a rep told me that it can take a while for them to figure the billing out so just don’t pay the bills when I get them!? I didn’t follow her advise, I’d rather be reimbursed than take a chance on them withholding supplies.
I encourage everyone to check their insurance pharmacy benefits to see if dexcom is covered at potentially lower cost.
Especially with G7 being more like Libre.
There is no longer a “durable” product if you use your phone app (although assume G7 receiver would still be available). I suspect more insurance will consider cover G7 as pharmacy.
I agree 100%. I started using ADW ADS last October and they are much better organized than any other supplier I have used. They follow up, they call you back - and the reorder process is seamless, just reply to one single text and that is it. No errors, no problems with insurance.
