Ask Your CDE for Free Patch Samples!

Hey friends! Just wanted to share a little win I had recently. I’ve been struggling with severe allergic reactions to medical adhesives, so I really didn’t want to spend money on a full pack of patches without knowing if they’d work for my skin.

I mentioned this to my Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), and she was awesome — she actually reached out to Not Just a Patch (NJAP) for me and was able to get me a few samples to try for free! It was such a lifesaver because I could test them out and see if my skin was okay with them before committing.

If you’re having trouble with adhesives or just want to try different patch options, I definitely recommend talking to your CDE. They might be able to connect you with samples too!

Has anyone else tried this route for getting samples?

Yes, that’s a great way to do it! I got samples of Cavilon from my endo’s office before.

I also deal with allergies, and I use Skin Grip Original now. They will send a free sample in the mail before you order, you just request a sample through their website. Their customer service was also super responsive when I asked if they had any of my known allergens in their patches.
