What a sunburn looks like on CGM: our worst peak ever

This is so true…at least for children our ages. I could have a 5% A1C if I didn’t mind him living in the LOW range. At least at our sons ages, there is more risk and damage (brain development especially) from lows…so I’m just doing what I can to have a DECENT A1C until he’s out of this age category so that we can look into staying around 100 and flatlining more. Nothing I can do to prevent the roller coasters we see every day…all I can do is try to stay within my acceptable range as much as possible and hope the highs he experiences don’t cause long-term damage.

Our Endo has taught us that the “proper range” is age dependent.

For example if a Toddler is level at 160 - it might be best to take a deep breath and thank your lucky stars. Don’t mess with it. Maybe it will stay there for 30 mins and give you a break.

On the other hand a young adult could probably correct the 160 down to 110 without much of a big deal.

That makes sense.
