It’s why everyone should carry pepper spray and wear bells on their laces and clothing if possible. Just make sure you can recognize the bear type, Grizzley -vs- Black bears. Black bear droppings are usually smaller and contain berries, leaves and the such. Grizzley droppings usually contain small bells and it may smell slightly like pepper spray.
