Veterans Day

I went to a jazz concert tonight and had the honor of meeting a World War II vet. His name is Charlie and he was in the Navy, deployed on a tanker in the Pacific theater. He is 92.

What an honor. We are making plans to meet him again at another concert in
December.

My dad was a WW II vet. He was an Ensign in the Navy on a destroyer escort in the Pacific. He was 93 when he died in 2017. He never talked about his experiences.
