I just went through this last week when a sensor bled profusely on insertion - blood flowing out from underneath the adhesive patch and swelling up through the sensor itself. I had to remove it and place pressure and ice on where I had obviously inserted into a superficial blood vessel. I now have a lovely big bruise on the spot. I wear mine on my thigh (with doctor’s permission) as abdomen is not a good location for me (scarring issues). Interrogation is indeed the proper description of the process to get one replaced. My experience was almost word for word like yours. The good news is that the replacement sensor arrived quickly. I wasn’t sure at first that they would even send one!
