Savory low treatments?

Based on your chocolate cake incident, I am thinking you could do better than 3 in a go.

@Eric. That little bag of CC is just an appetizer portion before the main "let me eat everything in the fridge because I’m low’ event.

I don’t drink dairy milk, but I’m guessing skim milk spikes blood sugars pretty well, despite the protein. I know oat milk does, since it’s basically mostly oat-based sugars, with a little fat from canola oil, and water. It spikes me well enough that I tend to avoid it in large quantities in favor of other non-dairy milks. Don’t know if either of those might be acceptable or worth a try. Sweetened chocolate milks (dairy, oat, or almond) probably would work really well, lower protein/fat ones will spike faster than others. Rice-based milks are probably really good actually—I avoid them entirely because of that.

I realize you may be asking for a product rather than a chemical substance, but Maltodextrin might be a good carbohydrate for this purpose. Some varieties have very little taste but a high glycemic index. In powdered form it is sold as a dietary supplement for athletes. It might be useful for mixing drinks without making them too sweet.

Low fat corn chips really bump my sugars up quickly.

For salty snacks - pretzels, especially the big soft ones, have a big effect on me. Bagels.

Orange juice of course although that’s not salty. Lots of good suggestions above.
