POD started screaming then began working again

My current POD (Dash) just started screaming & then the noise just stopped and it began working again. This was at the 72 hour mark & I planned to get go the additional 8 hrs (since I have 25 units left).

Anyone have this happen before? I’m not sure I trust the POD now.

Never heard of such a thing and can understand your hesitancy. Have you called/reported it to Insulet or FDA? Strange experience. What other parameters? Using their receiver? Phone app? Lot # of pump? Other?

That’s never happened to me. LOL Usually it’s more a case of trying to get the darn thing to shut off!

@TomH Thanks. I’ll report it. I’m looping & not using a receiver (use my phone).

I understand from other posts that Insulet may ask if you use Loop (DIY version). I don’t encourage you misrepresent, but you may want to avoid volunteering the info. Per one report, the rep wouldn’t even discuss the topic called about with the user. Also, do you recall seeing a code the logs? That might be helpful to note. The Loop devs and Marion Barker, primary for Loop docs, might be interested as well. You can advise her on https://loop.zulipchat.com/

Never had that happen to me!

If you do a bolus, do you still hear a “click”?

Yes, I can hear it clicking. In the pod info there’s no indication that there was a pod error either.

I would keep using it! :man_shrugging:

That’s not smart advice. I am not saying you should do that. I’m just saying what I would do. :joy:

I did…It worked well and made it to the end of the extra 8 hrs with 2 units left (win)!

That’s a nice line! What happens if you try eating?

Ha! I actually ate twice, one was pizza at about noon. Go figure.
