For a few years I had no problem with the G7 10 day sensors lasting 10 days. But in the past 6-8 months 1/3 develop issues; they start to lose connection and/or bounce around, or fail. For example, I have seen BG go from 120 to 72, then up to 150. The last senso I replaced had inflammation at the insertion. I wouldn’t feel comfortable to try an AID system. Dexcom had been good about replacing sensors.
I tried the Libre 3+, but it consistently read 20-30 mg/dl low, and of course you cannot calibrate. I was tired of constant low alarms when I was running 90-100, which I could not silence. It never dropped readings, and was consistent. I also found it easier to insert and connect. But, with the Dexcom I can get my readings on my Galaxy via XDrip and GDH without relying on an cell or internet connection, which would not be the case with the Libre. It is nice not to have to pull my phone out constantly (my house is in a cell signal dead zone, and if outside I would not get my wifi signal).
So I’ll stick to the 10 day G7, and at some future point switch to the G8 if it is better.
