I was really intrigued by what @Jen wrote on another thread:

I remember on another site @Sam posted a topic about men and women having different diabetes outcomes in terms of mobidity and mortality and we had a discussion about why this might be.

What do we know about gender differences with D?

@jen’s opinion was that a great deal of it was explained by the influence of periods on women’s BG.
