Finally had positive endo experience after 4 years

Finally had good experience with endo NP Called a month ago for review of my AID therapy settingsand no response from doc for over a month. called the practice and was offered appt. with NP whichnI had last summer, manuervered to get to endo (not much better than NP). Endo sarcastic, stupid jokes ,scolding). Was told another NP there, never met, made appt. with her. Much more attentive, felt listened to, she went over settings, wrote out what to take in pen when glucose high and won’t come down. Endo came in with stupid joke to assess my emtional condition……must have have picked up on my irriration with their half-assed medical care. I told endo this new NP was “great”. I was so pleased that I forgot to ask for “summary of today’s visit” to see what was written aout me.

@andrea8 Congrats on finding a good NP! Having somebody listen and respond is a great thing…in-person or remote! Given many of the stories here and self experiences with other docs, I’m glad my Endo listens and responds, actually discusses WITH me not at me. Hopefully, you’ll have more with this NP and less negative experiences with the Endo. I get that some folks need to be counseled, but don’t think raising voices is what most of us need.

That’s great. Sooner or later you will have to meet the old fogey again but maybe by that time his new and accidental NP will have educated him to be, hum, I don’t know how to express it, be less Doc Martin? (The name is not the obvious reference, it’s to an old UK television series about a bumptious physician.)

I like that term talk with me not at me cause that’s what I felt before. Judgment some sarcasm and scolding for my my behavior or compliance.
