Sad to report I did not get my run today. I had a medical appointment this morning—that took up my whole morning even though I didn’t even make it in time, and by the time I got back home and ready to go (one foot out the door), the school called to tell me to come pick up my 6 year old. Party over.
I was hoping for a run so I could reset my current state of carb lust. I really am not eating well, and this isn’t helping… anything at all. Its a mess, I’m pretty much a mess, and that’s that.
I have another early appointment tomorrow and a son who is definitely going to be home. I have no idea how I’m running tomorrow, but even if it’s at 10:00 tomorrow night…
So. It’s 12:30 my time, and I’m trying to rally for a run. I think I’m experiencing a mental collapse. And motivation collapse. Maybe other kinds of collapses. Not sure but hoping it’s all temporary.
I was sick whenever I was sick (last weekend and early this week?), and since then there’s been a sick child, and just life. I haven’t run since last Saturday.
Anyway, I’m going to go get on the treadmill now, but I just wanted to come clean first. And now that I’m clean, I’m getting up.
Not sure if it is too late to mention this, but if you want to slide today’s long run over to Sunday, that would align with the race schedule, so that would be okay to do.
So that would be better or would be acceptable. I could do either but mentally could use a run today. So if moving it is a favor to me, I wouldn’t, but if it’s to the benefit of the schedule, I could…
I will have to look at the schedule once I’m feeling a little better. I got my 11 miles, and it went better than I thought it would, but I think my cannula fell out early on, and I didn’t get my boluses. Was sick by the end, but the majority of the run felt good.
