Alarm history on my Omni pod

I did not receive my Omni pod and activated until late December, how do I have all these alarms six months prior to me receiving my device?

Welcome!

First thought: is your PDM date set correctly? If it is, then call Insulet and see if they sent you a refurbished PDM? I’ve not heard of them doing that but it’s worth the ask.

Let us know how it all turns out.

Did you get the PDM from Insulet? Or a different supply company?

See if there is any bolus history for dates prior to setting it up.

If you are sure it is not an issue with the date being set incorrectly, call Insulet and tell them you want a new unused PDM. They will replace it for you.

Welcome to fudiabetes. Yes; this is an easy mistake to make; look at the top right where it says “21/2”; that means today, the 21st of February, as we say in the UK. This is happening because you have the date format set to the European format (day-month-year). There are three choices:

  1. US format; month-day-year (I don’t know, this might be used in Canada as well.)
  2. European format: day-month-year.
  3. ISO format: year-month-day

I often use the ISO format because it is almost impossible to misread and sometimes even today, having lived in the US continuously since 1993, I still misread US dates.

Wow, good call JB! Nicely done!

I did not look closely at the numbers.
