I heard a podcast on the ilet transplant study. It was only for type ones that have severe hypoglycemic unawareness. That have had coma and hospitalizations due to not noticing they’re low and responding to counteract.. There was discussion of a lot of rejection and immuno suppression needed that didn’t sound that appealing in the aftercare. To be chosen for the study, you had to have severe hypoglycemia unawareness. Which I fortunately don’t have as yet.
