About the DIY category

Everything there is to know or ask about diabetes DIY, Loop, OpenAPS, xDrip and more. #WeAreNotWaiting!

I’m reviving this category because I just saw that IDS is offering a free 20-minute consult session on Open Source systems (see Introducing: Open Source Done Right! - Integrated Diabetes Services? utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ids_diabetes_bites_livin_lovin_low_tech&utm_term=2025-03-17). For those not aware IDS stands for Integrated Diabetes Services, a small firm located in Pennsylvania that does in-person and tele-appointments. It’s owned by Gary Scheiner, author of Think Like A Pancreas, and I believe all the staff are either T1 or T2. They do not take insurance, but prices seem reasonable. If you’re new to or thinking about trying a DIY or Open Source system like Loop, Trio, iAPS, AAPS or similar, this may be worth looking in to!
