8g Mini Transcend gel packs now available

Great option for the younger T1Ds (or any T1D who doesn’t need a full 15g carb fast treatment)

@ClaudnDaye,
Thanks for posting this!

I’m curious to see how the size compares. Carrying size for carbs is always a consideration for me. Thanks!

I have found many times that i give Liam only 1/2 of a 15g pack and the other half ends up going to waste, so this will be helpful to us. Only problem is that it doesn’t look like using HSA card is an option on Amazon atm.

Thanks for letting us know about these 8g gels. I used one last night when I woke up with the low alarm and 1 gel pack brought my BG up in less than 20 minutes! :weary_cat: :grinning_cat:

ETA And my BG stayed in range, too!

Thanks @ClaudnDaye I seldom treat a low with 16g. I might buy some of these.

FWIW, I think the strawberry tastes much better than the orange.

I haven’t purchased any yet because they aren’t HSA approved…I had written to the company and asked them to fix it so that we’re able to purchase these through HSA like I can do with the larget packets of Transcends gels. They acknowledged it and indicated they’d work on it. This has been months ago now. I see they still aren’t purchasable with HSA card. :frowning:
