Day one on the POD and holy cow what a life changer. I can not believe how nervous I was about it being difficult. One quick session with the trainer and i am off and running!! The combination of the G6 and pump are crazy. I actually ate a sandwich today and BG never went above 135. Went for a quick walk on the beach with the pups and right back down to 125. A splurge like that would have easily gotten me a 180 or higher reading with MDI and finger sticks. Hope this is not just the honeymoon phase and it will get harder but so far I am more than impressed.

Congrats on getting some freedom back. We have many happy Omnipod pumpers here. Pumps are really nice to have with their ability to microdose and dose on a moments notice.

I am looking forward to the Omnipod Horizon next year. It will dose according to the G6 sensor and works with the same phone that the Dexcom works with.
My insurance, however, does not cover the Omnipod.
