UK House of Commons Speaker diagnosed with T1D

Another example of being unlimited. Just before last week’s UK general election, the speaker of the House of Commons was diagnosed with T1D at age 62. He decided to reveal his diagnosis when an interviewer making a documentary about him asked about his health, because of rumors about his well-being and weight loss (almost 19 kg/42 lbs in recent months).
I like that he says: “I want to show people, yes I can do this job, yes I have a condition, but it’s not going to stop me, it’s not going to affect me.” Unlimited!

Thanks for sharing!!

This is something I’ve been mulling over recently is wanting people to know about my condition and my hardship so that they can acknowledge and understand the work it takes, but I also want them to know that it won’t stop me. It’s a fine balance for sure on information we choose to share, but I do try to share my literal and figurative lows and highs!
