Don Ray has been type 1 for 81 years. He is a member of the Joslin Medalists Facebook group. He looks so good, and is older than me. I actually look older than him. lol

I agree! You both look good!

My favorite part is this quote from his physician, Dr. Betul Hatipoglu, an endocrinologist at the Cleveland Clinic.

“He tries to do the best he can within his power. He probably has good genes, but his attitude is inspiring. He doesn’t let the disease get to him.”

That’s really it! Excellent example of unlimited thinking and living. And one of the things that I love about the folks here at FUD - the attitude is positive and always moving forward.

Sure, sometimes it’s a bummer and it’s fine to let off steam and be supported. But then get up and keep going.
