Teplizumab Phase-II Results For Prevention And Starts A Phase-III On Honeymooners

I just finished a new blog posting; my first in a while. It is long and complex but also important (I think). It covers one clinical trial run on people in TrialNet. People who had two autoantibodies but had not been diagnosed w/T1D yet. They appear to have delayed onset by about 2 years. There is also information on a related clinical trial in honeymooners:

I always wonder what the side effects of the treatment will be, particularly the long-term effects. Nausea or a headache on the short term are probably something most people are willing to bear to prevent or delay diabetes. A higher risk of cancer or diseases perhaps not.
