PBM reform - final leg vote Monday

Yes. Two highly orchestrated votes first which each allowed one different Representative from the Republican party to vote nay (first Rose(TN) then Massie(KY)) while the Democrats voted the party line then the final vote to approve in which 21 Representatives of each party voted against the party line (21 Republican Nays, 21 Democrat Ayes plus one “not voting”).

Amazing choreography.

Isn’t that interesting how that works? Olympic choreography.

We really had to back both parties up against a wall where either could be implicated for the corruption. That was, in some ways, very easy because both parties have been colluding in it for such a long time. But, it’s a delicate dance.

The diabetics play the heart strings of the lefties. The pharmacists play the right because they are small business owners up against a crippling monopoly. Individually, neither of us could succeed. But together we formed a strange and mighty special interest group that could strong arm either side. It was great. We have learned. We are bringing the doctors in so that we can be extra mighty. We actually speak for voters. That’s powerful - more powerful than all the money brought by all the insurers to buy both parties.

@JessicaD, you need to make a post that is dedicated to the ?s surrounding this transition onto Medicare so people see it and can talk to you about this in depth because they know everything about medicare and you have never been on it before. I don’t know anything, but the others know everything and they will walk you through it and answer all your question. That’s important. If you aren’t certain how to make a post, i’ll help. You will get important feedback that way. You are asking important questions, but the wider community isn’t seeing those questions. This is a weird back alley post. The diabetics aren’t fascinated by these policy wonk topics, but they LOVE talking about Medicare. They love it.

I think 2 FTC settlements came in today.

Time to dance!!! Winner, winner Chicken dinner, Diabetics!!! We win.

Hi @mohe0001 - I’m regular commercial insurance, not Medicare; will be watching how all of this PBM reform comes to pass … I don’t have a whole lot of confidence in any of our systems right now, unfortunately. :frowning: BUT, congratulations on your hardworking and the movement of this bill!
