New non-artificial but sugar-free sweetener just approved by FDA

“The Oubli Fruit Sweet Protein is one of several sweet proteins that is derived from fruits primarily found in West Africa and other equatorial environments. Sweet proteins are a class of proteins that deliver a sugar-like sweetness but don’t affect blood sugar, insulin or the gut microbiome”

FDA confirmed it is Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) and can be used to replace sugar in most food and beverages.

Has anyone tried it? It seems like it’s an industrial sweetener. I generally don’t like the taste of non-sugar sweeteners but am always interested.
