Renewing the old twiist thread…
I’ve been on the Sequel waitlist for twiist pump since they initially publicized it, and still not available in my area (Seattle area). Today I phoned and found out a little more:
There is only one specialty mail order pharmacy providing twiist right now and for foreseeable future. That (unnamed) pharmacy will contact me and others who sign up for the waitlist as the pump is rolled out in our area. The pharmacy will run the benefits check with your pharmacy coverage to figuure out copay $$ and will initiate the prior authorization submittals if necessary. They will also initiate the contact with your doctor for prescribing. (Rough guesstimate was maybe January somebody will me).
There is no known timetable for Dexcom to join the list of connected CGMs. The sales rep mentioned that it took about 6 months for Eversense 365 after the initial announcement that they were connecting so we should expect something similar for Dexcom…an announcement on some unknowable future date followed about 6 months after that by Dexcom connection to the pump.
