…started with a shrieking high alarm!! BG 275!
I must have slept through the earlier alert (!!) and after a few fuzzy moments just dealt with the situation: inhaled an 8-unit Afrezza and changed my Pod, watched BGs till I leveled out, and read the news. Haha, I have even had to eat some Sweet Tarts to avoid a low!
For months after my diagnosis, I was just clueless about diabetes management and was way more worried about hypos than high BGs. Then I entered the panic phase of awareness: “OMG high BGs eeeek! What have I done??” Now, thanks to good tech and the online community, and especially my FUD family, I just get on with what needs to be done, for which I am very grateful .
