Lilly will begin selling an “authorized generic” of Humalog 100 for $137.35 per vial, a 50 percent discount off the list price.

The new product, which the company said would be made available as quickly as possible, will be called Insulin Lispro and will be sold through a Lilly subsidiary, ImClone Systems.

My Personal Opinion. @ $137.35 with no rebates, they are most likely receiving higher revenue then currently from Humalog with PBM rebates. Too little. Too late.

Yes, this appears to be a PR stunt, with little to no help for the patients. Probably trying to avoid government intervention.

That’s quite convenient, they only have to cross out ‘Humalog’ on their existing labels.
